Paul David Magisa

Paul David Magisa (b. 1986) graduated from the University of the Philippines-Baguio in 2009. After which, he focused on tackling socio-political issues as part of his artworks. He uses a monochromatic black and white palette as he believes that limiting or sometimes eliminating color helps focus his viewers on the message of the pieces. In 2017, he had his first solo exhibition entitled MAG.ISA at ArtCube Gallery. He was a finalist in the Metrobank MADE Painting Competition in 2012, 2013, and 2015 and was a finalist at GSIS Painting Competition, Non-Representational Category 2014. Magisa has also exhibited at Art Fair Philippines 2021 and 2022.
