Humanity persists in its pursuit of significance in the waking world – understanding the self, developing personal values, recognizing relevant environments, and extending the connection to items that reflect one’s individuality.

Visual artist, Robin Catle, highlights this relationship through a different perspective on the mundane. In his exhibition entitled “Figurative Vision,” Catle creates dialogs about the essence of still life through his series. He presents other facets to envisioning fruits and common objects, blanketing the subject with distinctive lighting techniques to visually grasp metaphorical expressions. The artist’s minimalist approach and subtle color palette implores a moment of quiet contemplation, a candid yet gentle conversation with the viewer, and in time, encourage the individual to bring about personal figurative visions.
