With the elaborate forms of relations in a complex environment, visual artist, Nea De Leon examines the whirs of mankind interwoven with the natural world in “FLOCK.”

In this exhibition, Nea explores the interconnectedness of beauty that casts from the abundance of rhythmic patterns and familiar repetitions found in nature. From her previous themes of vibrant flora, the artist delves into subjects of numerous birds, both in motion and in stillness, resting on branches of trees. Known for her medium of quilling paper, Nea continues to depict calm movement through the meticulous process of her creations, the curvilinear details and unaltered texture of the artwork emanating a tranquil flow along the lines of colored paper.

Through her series, the artist expands the concept of abundance perceived by humanity, unraveling the interrelationships of individuals in an intricate, yet comprehensible society. As melodic chirps fill the room, Nea De Leon’s artworks highlight a delicate charm encapsulating the harmony and grace that conglomerate in a flock.
