To unveil the hidden potential of the already known has always fascinated visual artist, Jacob Lindo. He proceeds with the deconstruction and reconstruction of ideas, and the presentation of possible new observations to his work, altogether presented in his solo exhibition.
“Hints and Allegories” delves into the multiple facets of an image and how it is perceived by both artist and the viewer. Through his collages and paintings, Lindo dissects familiar objects, magnifies the essence of the mundane, and uncovers an alternate conversation to the developing visual discourse. Lindo and his series manifest layers of dialogues between artist and artwork, artwork and viewer, and artist and viewer. All of these reciprocations interact within an artistic ecosystem of progressive dynamic movement toward creative expansion. Lindo, as the catalyst, sparks the intrigue by dropping hints that implore one to discover underlying meanings in his inspired and expressive allegories.
