SYZYGY explores the intricacy of the interrelationship of both the physical and metaphysical realms. In her exhibition, artist Ivy Floresca delves deeper into the philosophical concept of complementarity. At its core, 𝘚𝘠𝘡𝘠𝘎𝘠 refers to the alignment of celestial bodies, like the Sun, Earth, and Moon. Floresca’s finely drawn subjects create a visual dialogue between light and shadow, form and void, nature and abstraction. The artist’s collection embodies the tension and harmony found in the juxtaposition of opposites, much like Carl Jung’s animus and anima - a pairing of masculine and feminine energies within the psyche.
